Just transferred to a new school and this is what I have registered for the fall

Engineering Professionalism ECE (2)
Electic Circuit Analysis Lab (1)
Electronics (3)
Electronic Networks Lab (1)
First-Year Writing (3)
History of the Modern World (3)
Vector Geometry (2)
Principles of Biology (3)

Biology Lab (1)

This is my 3rd year of college, but I had to take Electic Circuit Analysis Lab and a First-Year Writing course because they weren't part of my previous school's requirements for ECE. The Bio is because I am doing pre med. I probably won't go to med school but I really enjoy the classes and I want to keep my options open.

I have taken 2 labs in one semester before, I got a mix of As and Bs doing 12 ch.
I also took 18 credits both semesters freshman year and got straight As with the exception of 1 B.

The way I see it is that the only new material I will see is Electronics and its lab. The circuit analysis lab will be a review for me since I got an A in the lecture portion at the previous school (there was no lab there). Engineering Professionalism ECE shouldn't be any difficult material, nor should english. Math comes very easy to me; History Doesnt.

What do you think? I'd like to get some feedback to help me think through this.

Is the new school more selective than the old school? If so, you have to consider that the classes at the new school might be harder than the classes at the old school?

What is the add/drop policy at the new school? It is usually around 2 weeks after the start of the semester. This sounds like a rather aggressive schedule to me. One option is to start the semester with this schedule, and decide within the add/drop period if you want to drop a class to reduce your load. You would also have the option to withdraw from a class later in the semester, but that would appear on your transcript, so dropping is better.

At most schools, the intro bio class that pre-meds take is extremely difficult. If you were going to drop one class, I think that is the one I would recommend that you drop, since I think that it isn’t a requirement for your engineering degree, while all of the other classes are. If you are just taking an intro bio class now at the start of your 3rd year, I think it would be unlikely that you would be able to finish all of the pre-med classes within 4 years of undergrad, given that you will have a busy engineering schedule. Or have you already taken a lot of other pre-med classes? My advice would be to concentrate on finishing your engineering degree as quickly as possible and with highest grades possible, rather than distracting yourself with another path.

Is a history class specifically required, or could you pick another subject that would fulfill a general requirement? Would a class in economics or logic (from philosophy department) fulfill that requirement, since those subjects often are easier for engineering majors.

I don’t understand how this is your third year of college and you don’t know if it’s too much. If you have done it before why are you asking the question? If you have done 18 credits got A’s and B’s I don’t see a problem? And you failed to mention the schools (the one you transferred from and the one your transferring too) as well so you can’t really gauge it.
