Is this something that i can include/can help me?

hmm, so heres the thing. my mom works full time, and my dad works a full time and a part time job. were middle class and money isnt that big of an issue. however, when my parents get home, theyre usually drained and so i have to do basically all the household chores except cook. and then cuz of their schedules and my extracurriculars sometimes im not able to get home until like 9 or 10. and then cuz of the stuff i do, a lot of times i cant even start schoolwork until like 2 or 3. my grades are ok, but all of this has definitely affected my extracurricular participation (as in like, a lot of times i cant get to places, or its hard for me to make big time commitments). can/should i mention this, and how would i mention it

Additional information section. I was in a similar situation when I applied EA. For most of high school, I had to take the bus and had no ride to go anywhere. I explained that this had affected my extracurricular commitments, but also tried to show that I tried my best with the opportunities I had available to me.

Don't use the Additional Info section to throw in a random resume or elaborate on obvious extracurricular activities. Use it to show the context of your surroundings.

would i maybe wanna mention it to my counselor? i mean, im so involved at school its not even funny. but i dont have a lot of outside things, mainly cuz im doing chores all the time and i never have a ride anywhere, and so my counselor is critical of my lack of "involvement in the community". or should i mention it in additional info and mention it to my counselor so at least she can gain that kinda perspective of my situation?

Why not? Don't freeze up with your counselor... just say what's on your mind. You're supposed to be cool with your counselor. They are your best advocate in the college admissions process.

yeah, ok, so ill try to have it mentioned in add info and in my counselors thing. thanks griffon.

with my counselor its kinda ehhhing though. since my counselor has always been kinda critical of my ecs (pres of 3 big clubs but no real outside involvemnt other than like church and stuff) since i dont have extensive community service, and i dont wanna come off as if im just giving her excuses.
