I really want to score 2220 + I'm currently in 9th grade going to 10th grade. This summer I may do a SAT Prep course. Is this to early to take a SAT Prep course?

Yes. There is no hurry. You are just a freshman. Go play outside. Or at least devote some time to your favored E.C.

It won't take up to much time, I'm going to a Tennis Camp still. Plus I'm going to 10th grade, which mean less than 2 years away :P

SATS ARE DUMB. honestly, classes are BS. please dont succumb to their false advertising. AKA they dont help

however i dont really have any experience w/ them but just know that it didn't help for the 99% of the people that i know who took it...some of them even deproved after dropping over a thousand dollars

How about a private tutor?

Enjoy Tennis Camp. I agree w/ Narcissa. The class would be a total waste at this time (and perhaps at all times). If you want to do something then make a list of good books to read (fiction AND non-fiction). They will help you in the SATs. Take the PSAT in fall of 10th grade to figure out where you stand.

I agree that a class or a tutor wouldn't at all be worth your time now, but in the future it might. Don't worry about the SAT for another year, seriously.

Also, you may want to ignore extreme opinions, especially when the person offering them hasn't actually taken a course.

actually took a course, it was a WASTE of time.

honestly, if they don't separate out the smart kids, (I'm looking at you, princeton review), you're sitting with people trying to raise 1200s/2400s. No joke! that was what was in my class.

take it summer before junior year if you must

hey i agree with the advice of vicariousparent: READ READ READ! it totally helps, i read like 30 books a month back when I was ur age for fun...it was great, and then the vocab and CR will come naturally. dont take a class, classes defeat the purpose of standarized testing by preparing you directly FOR the test i think...honestly, the vocab isn't hard, those words are words you really should know in order to write essays and converse with people...the reading really is very basic, not much analyzation, just matching questions w/ words from the reading...the math is even more simple thinking and plug-and-chug. just take the most advanced classes in HS and that'll prepare you better for SATs than any prep course.
