I want to write about growing up as a biracial child and its effect on me.
Is this a common essay topic and should I stay away from it, or does it sound fine in theory?
Thanks!

Obviously, it depends on how you write it. To make it less cliché, you can write an anecdotal essay that you can connect on a more grand scale to your whole childhood/growing up as a biracial kid. If you’re doubting the anecdotal approach, you can check out why I suggest that format here: <a href=“Why are Anecdotes so Popular? - College Essays - College Confidential Forums”>Why are Anecdotes so Popular? - College Essays - College Confidential Forums; (my comment is kinda long, if you don’t care I 100% understand haha)
