Is trinity a good fit? (asian)

Ive read some stuff about racism and stuff etc on Trinity but further researching i have fallen in love and am looking into transferring to trinity.....

I am not from a rich family but i did attend a NE prep school and all my friends do drive old volvos and wear brooks brothers sweaters ....

If i grew up with WASPY people all my life would i fit in? I will also be doing a preppy varsity sport......

Also is there really racial tension against asians? at my prep school there was only real tension against the liberal hipster population who happened to be african americans and latinos

Cultural background usually is a larger factor than race alone imo.

I’m really worried about this too. I’m Asian as well, and I have almost all American friends. But I don’t look too Americanized (meaning I look pretty FOB-y), and I am a FOB actually…

I’m afraid that if I get accepted, I won’t be able to fit in at all…

I am a student at Trinity College. There is a decent size Asian population at Trinity. They seem to fit in quite well with all of the “waspy” students. Trinity is actually pretty ethnically diverse for a school of its nature. If you really want to go here, I think you will find yourself able to fit in and become accepted. Maybe not by everyone, but that’s life!!

I’m Asian and live in California. Over summer I went to visit to Trinity College and I loved it there. The people were really nice and polite. They treated me like everyone else and there was no racist tension at all. Matter of fact, Trinity College is my top choice as of now.
