If I want to major in Math/Econ/Business/Investment banking/Finance?
Is Haas Business School a good choice for these majors if I can get in?
Does anyone graduated already work in an investment bank (which is my dream)?

You asked an open-ended question. Either there are no correct answers, or there are many conflicting yet correct answers.

Is UCB a good choice? It all depends on your financial, academic, family, … situation. About 30 years ago, I was admitted to UCLA, UCSD, UCI, Cal Poly Pomona, Cal State Long Beach, and Cal State Fullerton. I chose Cal State Fullerton, a not so good choice according to many people. But to me at the time, it was the best choice. I haven’t regretted it for one second.

Is Toyota Corolla a good choice? Yes, no, maybe. Life is not so simple.

If you’re intelligent, social, and personable, and get into the Haas Business school or even have a 3.5+ in Econ, then yeah sure, Cal is a terrific choice.

If you have to struggle like hell just to surface a 3.0 in Econ or Political Economy, then…no. In that case, Cal was not such a great choice.

You should do more research on your own before asking. Haas only has one of the majors you listed and I don’t know any notable 4 year university that offers investment banking as a major.

Haas only offers a degree in Business Administration, which is the only business/finance degree at Berkeley. Haas gets heavily recruited for investment banking, especially for West Coast offices/

Thanks so much for all the replies.
I won’t be working in the US, since I’m from Hong Kong.
Things would be slightly different in Hong Kong, including investment banking. I just wanted to make sure UCB would always be my best choice ever.
Thanks anyways :)

If I remember correct UG in HAAS is assigned at the end of Sopho year unlike other majors like engineering and not everyone who applies gets it. Please verify.
