Is UCLA Extension regarded the same as a CC?

It looks like my Calc 2 class is going to be cancelled due to low enrollment. Only 7 people have enrolled and the semester starts in 2 weeks. None of the other classes are at a convenient time for me. I'm looking at other schools and one of the ones that could work for me is UCLA extension. But I'm wondering if it might be a mistake to enroll there because of my situation. I attended a foreign university and I'm hoping that the following paragraph, which is in some a lot of the UCLA transfer documents I can find, won't make attending a foreign university an issue:

"For the College of Letters and Science, a student who completed 86 or fewer UC-transferable semester units (130 or fewer transferable quarter units) at a university then transferred to, and remained exclusively at, a community college does not exceed the maximum units allowable for admission purposes."

I'm worried that if I enroll in UCLA Extension, I won't have remained exclusively at a community college and thus won't be admitted. So I'm wondering if anyone has experience in this matter with UCLA extension or possibly any other UC extension that might apply here.

I’m sorry, UCLA Extension is NOT regarded as a CC, it is regarded as a 4 year. So you’re right, you’ll have to find ANOTHER CC to enroll in Calc 2.

I talked to a counselor yesterday and she confirmed my suspicions that it would count as a 4 year. Sucks because it was at a really convenient time for me.

@bomerr Thanks for the tip. I already looked into taking an online class at Foothill college. But that was the quarter system with a book and website I didn’t like at all. Didn’t feel comfortable with that. I’ll look into the Coastline class and see if it looks better.
