I know this is a hackneyed topic, but hopefully I can get some first-hand info from some current Vandy students.
I got my acceptance to the College of Arts and Science about a week ago, and my financial aid award was sadly much lower than I'd expected. To attend, I would have to go into debt, which would make paying for grad school difficult. My other option, however, is to attend a state honors college where I have a full-ride scholarship. I plan to double major in math and physics. Any help is greatly appreciated.

What state school is it?

If you'll be in HUGE debt, it's probably not worth it, especially if it's a respectable state school...even though it's great here...

I doesn't really matter even if your state school isn't the most well known. I really do think it'd be more worth it for you to go you state U's honors program while they pay you to go to school. Vandy's great, but it's not worth getting into huge debt over.

Hey, thanks for the replies. The state honors college im considering is at the University of Tennessee. Hopefully I can attend Vandy without going too far into debt, but I'll just have to see. One thing I've been wondering about is concerning housing. Is a Single more expensive than a Double? If so, how much?
