Is Wake Forest Test Optional Only For Diversity?

I am considering applying to wake forest with the test optional option. However I am a white male, and both of my parents have college education. My understanding is that the test optional policy was enacted to benefit the ethnically diverse community. Therefore, would they consider my application as test optional? I have a 4.6 GPA, and I am an early college student who will graduate with an associate degree (3.8GPA). I am aware that WFU won’t take my credits, but I believe this shows my college readiness as I will have taken nearly 70 dual enrollment credits. Also I am VP on student council, and interact club. I also believe I could get a good letter of recommendation from my club sponsors if I need to for their application. Opinion?

Test optional applies to all students. You can freely choose o apply without test scores, and your course rigor and college GPA will go a long way. I’d say it’s a good match. However you should remember to treat Wake as a reach due to their selectivity (IE, even if it looks like a match, they turn down a lot of qualified people.)
