Test-Optional: What's the WFU CDS saying?

Please see page 9 of WFU's 2007-08 common data set. http://www.wfu.edu/ir/docs/cds2007wfu.pdf

Am I imagining it, or does it say SAT or ACT is REQUIRED for admission in the Fall of 2009? I thought this entering class was the first test-optional. (I tried to check the featured discussion at the top of the forum, the AP article expired.)

When is test-optional effective?

Wow, that looks like an error!

Here’s what it says on this year’s application:
“Wake Forest values individual academic achievement, initiative, talent, and character above standardized testing. Therefore, submission of standardized test scores is optional for admission. If scores are submitted, they will be treated as supplemental information through the evaluation process.”

Good catch!
