Is York University Schulich a good option? A plausible one?

I’m class of 2019, low GPA of 3.3 but 7 passed AP tests/courses, enough ECs, and 30 ACT. You can check out my ‘chance me’ post if you want more info for whatever reason.

I’ve been interested in York University because I love Canada and Toronto, but more importantly I’ve heard the program is good for business. I know some people say York University basically accepts anyone who applies, which I guess would mean it’s not considered great in terms of prestige. I don’t need anything crazy smart, but I was wondering if anyone knows if at least the Schulich school of business is ranked higher? I don’t know much about this university, not living in Canada, so if anyone can tell me if it’s a good school and how hard it is to really get into? Do I have a shot?

Schulich is considered among the top 3 or top 5 business schools in Canada. Admissions are super selective, very different from getting into York. I do try hibk you have a shot (they want a 3.7-4.0GA).

Canadian schools don’t normally look at all 4 years of high school, although Schulich does say that they reserve the right to look at all your high school grades. In your chance me thread, you say that your current grade is a 4.0. What were your junior grades?

I see that you have calculus, which many Americans don’t realize is required for many Canadian programs.

My junior years were around 3.5, but it would have been about a 3.7 if you ignore my grade in online Latin. I blame the course but I know the colleges won’t.

@joanofdarc If you can keep your current grade at a 4.0, then you have a shot.

3.5 jr year + 4.0 sr year would place you at 3.7 = you’d have a shot.
