is there anyway to get the isbn number for our textbooks? I don't really want to buy them from the bookstore, so I'm trying to save some money buying them myself. But they don't give you an ISBN number, and i'm really afraid of paying 100 bucks for the wrong book.

specifically, i'm looking for the textbooks for chem 6a and math 20c.

Chem ISBN # is 071675701x for Chemical Principles, The Quest for Insight, 3rd edition, 2005

My son took Chem last year at UCSD. If anyone is interested, I'm sure he'd be willing to sell his book. We live in the Bay Area and he'll be down in SD the weekend of the 16th.

Just look up the book with the title and author they give you. On half.com or amazon or somewhat. And when they give you the description, just grab the ISBN # and re-search with that ISBN on addall.com or bigwords.com.

i also have the chem 6abc book for sale as well. I have the solutions manual for the math 20abc if you are still interested in that. email me at chipsahuy@gmail.com.

It really annoys me that they don't have ISBNs. abebooks.com and amazon.com are good sites to buy textbooks, but sometimes I get multiple listings for their abbreviated titles.
