Hey all,

I am taking the Upper Level ISEE this fall.

I was wondering if there are any books that anyone suggests that I read to study for the ISEE.

Thank you!

Hey all,

I would recommend skipping the books altogether and taking an insane amount of practice tests. Unless you need help with test taking skills, just focus on getting used to the test. I take a test five times a week and each time I get closer to a perfect score.

Kaplan’s blue books are always filled with about six tests, but only about two of them will be Upper Level, unfortunately. Your best bet is to go online and find pdf versions of the test. Print out as many as you can without wasting too much ink, and get into the habit of religiously sitting down and taking a test. Simulate test taking conditions.

Not only will studying this way help you cement in the basic bits you have to know, you’ll discover what tricks work for you and set goals for each new practice test. Try to even find a question of the day app for your phone. Never stop studying. You might even grow to like it, I love sentence completions now! You can even play music, but I would stop that a month before the test because you can’t have mp3 players.

Don’t quit till 4/10! :)>- Good luck!

Do all of these tests. All. Of. Them. Don’t cut corners! Push through to the end. Hardworking will get you everything!

Do take practice tests of course, but don’t skip the books altogether. There are some helpful tips inside them that you might be able to utilize to get you a higher score.

Thank you so much sillywabbit3, I will definitely do all of these things!
P.S. Thank you for the little gift ;))
