<p>Can anyone share some of the most essential things one needs to bring for living in a dorm?</p>

<p>Are this year’s high school seniors already packing for college? Geez, I’m getting old.</p>
<p>I wouldn’t say packing, but my family is keeping a continuous list of post it notes on the fridge! I can see it now. I’m going to fill the whole game room with my stuff. Tons and tons of stuff.</p>
<p>Haha, yeah I figured i’d start making a list of things i’ll need so I can keep a look out for the things i’ll need to buy.</p>
<p>Just a helpful tip: Buy the bulky items such as containers/shelves/stands when you get there. Or if possible have them shipped to your dorm. It’ll save more room. :)</p>

<p>Lists of items you’ll need abound, but one of the things I’m super glad I brought that wasn’t on all (or maybe any, I can’t remember) of the lists is a sewing kit. It’s come in handy soooo many times.</p>
<p>I have a seeing kit in my room.

<p>One thing I didn’t see on there but that I would recommend is an inflatable air mattress (twin) or sleeping bag. Sometimes you’ll sleep over at another college, go to a conference, or whatnot, and it’s useful to have a place to sleep rather than just crashing on the floor.</p>
