Are any of you guys still packing? Do you have any last minute tips? I'm going to be living in a double with one other girl, kinda nervous about that arrangement. Anyway I'm going off of the list here (http://collegechecklist.yolasite.com/checklist.php) but please (please) shout out anything I might forget!! Thanks CC!

Cell phone/laptop/whatever chargers. Those always seem to get left behind.

Don’t worry about packing! You can always shop for anything you may have forgotten to bring once you get to campus and settle in!

But just going by that list, I would say bring an ethernet cord because wireless connection in dorm rooms can be questionable. And bring a Swiffer, a duster, and some Lysol because you’d want to scrub down your room before you put all your stuff in.

LOL, i’m doing it right now, but i started a week ago (rather my mom decided to become anbisous, and start packing without me knowing), at the moment i am finishing up my clothes that are in the washer looks over at washer to see if its still going, and then i’m going to pack that up as well.

Umm, the only thing i might think you might forget are:

tweezers
sissors
tape
sewing kit
tools
duct tape
flash light
light bulbs
duster
lysol
those color grabber things you put in with new clothes to keep them from bleeding onto your other ones (can you tell my mind is in laundry mode at the moment :D)
spot remover for clothes

I can’t think of anything more, but i shall be back if i do!

Ps. don’t forget costers :P

Icedragon’s list is good. Not to stereotype but I think that boys tend to forget tweezers.

One of my D’s friends forgot to pack a backpack.

Don’t lose sleep over it; you can buy things you forgot.

Hell, I haven’t even started packing yet! Move-in is in 2 days (I don’t have much to bring. I’d imagine it’s harder for girls than guys.)

My advice would be to not bring things if you don’t use them now. (IE If you don’t iron your clothes now at home, don’t bring an iron and ironing board. You won’t iron in college.)

I just moved today and it was so stressful and hot and then I went and spent the day with my friend and just got back and nothing is unpacked and I have to put freaking furniture together and I am so tired and it’s great to be back in the swing of things! :D

My mom forgot to bring me a shelf. That’s all I forgot.

Actually, I didn’t iron much at home but then my mom did my laundry and folded it. Now that I do it on my own it sits in my basket until I feel like hanging it up and I use my iron almost every day now.

I haven’t even started to pack yet. Move in day is in less than 2 weeks

I haven’t even started. I leave Friday. I don’t see why I would need to start sooner than Thursday evening.

It’s easy: Pick up every thing I own, put in boxes/suitcases –> car. Done.

The linked list seems woefully incomplete to me. I would add:

School supplies
Pens
Erasers
Whiteout
Sharpies
Hilighters/markers
Postits
Index cards
Scotch tape
Rubber bands
Desk lamp
Blank CDs
Scissors
Calculator
Batteries

Room
Rug
Laundry hamper
Hangers
Bed risers
Dry erase board/cork board
Under-bed storage bins
Toolkit
Flashlight
Ziplock bags
Wet wipes

Personal
Games
Comb/brush
Bathrobe
(For girls): Makeup, plucker, cotton balls/Q tips, nail polish/remover, hair dryer/iron, tampons/pads, hair accessories, body lotion

Medicine cabinet
Bandaids
Antibiotic ointment
Cough drops
ACE bandage
Heating pad

LOL icedragon I’m sorry to point this out but when I read “anbisous” in your post I literally laughed out loud.

Bring a small toolkit. I made a lot of friends during move-in weekend because word spread that I had tools.

Also bring any musical instruments you have, even if you don’t play them well. They’re a great conversation starter.
