I hoping that some of you can help me. I'm trying to help my daughter gather data on Ithaca's School of Business where she was accepted. I know they don't have one of the top ranked business schools but does anyone know we we can find any rating data.

If you have any personal thoughts they would be welcome as well.

From our visit to Ithaca last year, our tour guide told us that the business school is not accredited and, therefore, will not have a rating data....If this has changed since April 2007. I stand corrected

Ithaca just opened a brand new business building this semester. It is accredited by AACSB International, which is a title that only 10% of business schools worldwide possess. It is also one of the most sustainable buildings in the country (platinum). It's an absolutely beautiful building.

As a business major at Ithaca, I highly recommend coming here. It'll be the top ranked school at Ithaca within a number of years.

We even have a student run investment room. We manage a $25,000 mutual fund using resources like Thomson One Financial and a real-time market board. If you're into that stuff, I find it hard to believe there are much better places to go than Ithaca.

If you have any more questions about the school just let me know.

I am not a business student, but I have several friends who are. I have to say, I’m very impressed with the school. They still have the trading program and there is even a room that is completely decked out and is dubbed the “Trading Room.” We bring guest speakers every few weeks to campus who are prominent businessmen and women. There’s even a competition every fall, funded by an alumnus, that encourages students from any major to come up with a new business idea. The winners of this competition (about 4 projects) receive a $5,000 grant to make it a reality, and then, after a year, if you’re still working hard, they will let you apply for a $10,000 grant. It’s pretty awesome! If you win, you have to enroll in a once a week class that will help you ensure that you stay on task with your business model.

“It’ll be the top ranked school at Ithaca within a number of years.”

If you mean only at Ithaca College, perhaps. With Cornell nearby and Syracuse an hour away, I think that may be too grand an expectation if you meant the top ranked school in the Ithaca area.
