Ok- we've waited until 12/5 to check on the status of the application.
The MyNova still has the same "gibberish." We will check later, but this seems riduculous to me. The recent letter said that you would have until 12/8 to send in missing items. It would be nice to know if there is something missing. Very frustrating! Does any one else still have gibberish or do you have an actual checklist?

Do not know what “gibberish” you are talking about.

S has a list with a check next to it if they have received the information.
He also got an email yesterday accepted for early action.

If you submitted everything. Suggest you email or call the admissions office.

Yes, you should call. I called the phone# in the letter and was surprised to get a helpful real-live person on the other end in just 2 rings!

davh01: accepted for early action? how? recruit?

This is the gibberish on the MY Checklist. It has said this since 11/18.

<p class=“MsoPlainText” style=“margin: 0in 0in 0pt”>Confirmation of receipt of any documents on the Checklist will be official as of December 5, 2009, when all Early Action applications and credentials have been processed. As long as a Common Application with the Villanova Supplement was submitted by November 1, your application will be reviewed under Early Action.<o></o>

wait, you’re son already got an e-mail? was he an athletic recruit?

davh01: Wow, your S got an EA acceptance…congrats. Can you let us know what school he applied to and any other stats so we can evaluate our chances. Was he an athletic recruit?

My S applied EA to the business school and has not heard anything.

Also for all the others about the mynova account, we have been checking all the colleges he applied to, to make sure the colleges have everything. It is just part of the follow up process. His my nova account showed everything was received. It took a couple of weeks after November 1st for everything to get downloaded. We have also called and they have been very responsive.

Waiting for our email!!

The decisions are released online on Dec 20 apparently, i got a letter from Nova saying that.

It’s not an official decision. The official acceptance will be out on Dec 20. Not recruit.

GPA = 3.9 uw
School does not rank
SAT ~ 2200
AP = 9
EC = varsity sport, honor societies, volunteering.

Good luck to all of you.

Here is S’s checklist. The gif file is a green checkmark on the portal.

My portal won’t even show the checklist Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

Smart.cookie…Same here. The gibberish I listed above is gone and now there is no checklist at all. I will call tomorrow and hope that all has arrived.

I called the admission’s office on Monday. They told me that everything was received, but she had me speak to a technical support person to find out why my son had no checklist. She said that you want to make sure that everything is working because the decisions will be released on line on 12/20. Today, the checklist is showing with all green checks…yeah!
Good luck to all!

I called the office and she said that they had everything and she transferred me to the technical support but I still have no checklist!!

Wow the checkist flickered on yesterday while I was on the phone with tech support, and then today when I tried to make sure it was working so I can see my decision on the 20th it has disappeared :(

mynova is much more problematic than any other app login I have used in my college application process. If I didn’t like Villanova so darn much I would be angry ;)

excuse me, can someone tell me how I can access mynova? I am an international student. I emailed the admission office last week to ask about all of my materials. They said all of my materials are submitted but they said nothing about mynova. Do I need it to know about my admissions result?

haha mynova doesn’t even work for us sometimes, don’t worry about it guys! :)

@galfromVN:

Here is a link to mynova: https://novanet.villanova.edu/cp/home/displaylogin

You should have received an email from Villanova with an application ID (appXXXX) where the Xs are numbers and with a temporary password. You would then login to mynova using that app ID and password, and then change your password once logged in. If you didn’t receive the email you should call the Office of Admissions and get this info because you will need your online log in to receive your admissions decision the day it is released online.

Good luck!

Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get a nova account. My son applied EA to Nova Busniess school. On Dec 3rd he got a letter asking him to Nova portal on Dec 5th to check that all his documents are in by the 8th. He logged in to Nova to set upa account and it said it may take up to 2 weeks to set up a account. Of course as of today no email from Nova on the account and password. This is the worst college portal adminstration I have seen.

S had a quick reply after emailing them he was unable to sign in. Check to make sure the response is not in the spam file. Otherwise email or call them again.
