kaetii, glad you’re interested in W&M.

Might we recommend a few changes/additions to your course selection for senior year. Assuming your school offers a healthy number of AP classes, we’d recommend you enroll in 3-4 if you think you can be successful in those classes. AP Stats, AP Latin and AP Chemistry would be good choices among those you have listed. You could also consider AP English instead of college-prep English. Not sure if this is possible given your magnet program and attending two schools but if it is, go for it. You might also consider physics as we consider physics, calculus and the fourth level of a single foreign language to be benchmarks of a robust curriculum. We understand you cannot enroll in calc but AP Latin and physics would be good course selections.

Your grades seem very strong so keep that up. We’d also urge you pursue leadership positions in some of your longstanding organizations such as the multicultural club, choir or leadership group.

For more on any applicant’s chances of admission, check out our Admit It! Blog ([W&M Blogs Chance Me](http://blogs.wm.edu/2010/12/14/chance-me/))

We can’t tell you where else to apply. That decision is one to be made by you and your family but here’s a thread about where our current applicants have also applied:

yes thank you!
i am going to take physics, AP latin, AP chem, and a honors english. I was wondering should i take AP Stat or French 1 honors for my senior year. I didnt mention this before but I do have this situation and i would be more happy taking french and i will also like to major in anthropology so which would be more useful?

We’d likely recommend AP Stats over French 1. Obvioulsy AP Stats is a more rigorous course and will be a good addition to pre-calc since you won’t be able to complete calc. We do not admit students by major so just as we expect the humanities-oriented students to take advanced math and science we expect the math/science-oriented students to take advanced English and humanities courses.

If you believe you can be successful in AP Stats we’d recommend taking it.
