And now the screams of joy should be coming in any time now. Congratulations to all Jumbos who made it in thus far!

rejected. good luck to everybody else

:-( sorry elysse.
I got deferred. What do I do???

I got in!!! Very very happy about it.

Actually, I was told by multiple people that Tufts is deferring a lot more people this year than usual because they felt that they accepted too many students through ED last year, and wanted a larger applicant pool to go through. So deferrence still makes you very competitive.

I got in too, I'll see you there!

Congratulations, poolio10 and charcoalorchid! I can't wait to see you at Tufts! You might want to check out the Tufts Class of 2009 community on LiveJournal: http://www.livejournal.com/community/tufts2009/

Good luck, paprika718! If you haven't already done so, I would suggest that you send them a letter explaining why Tufts is perfect for you and in what ways you are perfect for it. I did this when I applied ED1 last year and I got in! I called it my Tufts love letter. I remember a Tufts admissions officer telling us at an info session that by applying ED, it's like your running up to Tufts, giving it a big hug, and saying, I love you! And if it's clear that you really feel that way (which I did by way of a letter), then Tufts admissions personnel will feel the desire to hug you back and accept you, lol. It's pretty silly the way he put it but in essence, that's what you're doing. So even now that you're not ED, keep this visual in mind when writing that letter. I'm rooting for you!

I'm sorry, elysse311. I'm sure that you'll be accepted by some great colleges and that you will pick one where you will be extremely happy. I know, rejection in hard. Especially when you've done all the work and worry and decision-making and thought you were going to be set. But try to be positive and really believe that following this negative, there's going to be something really great awaiting you.

Congrats to those who were accepted and for Elysse, trust me Julia is so right. {{{hugs}}}. Paprika, sorry for being stuck in college admissions purgatory! But as I suggested in other post, check the old forum for PistolPete's posts.

aww thanx julia and jjsmom! yea it DEFINITELY does feel like purgatory, but Im going to do EVERYTHING I can..anymore tips Id appreciate it.

thanks paprika, jjsmom, and juliatorgo - well, life goes on. I'm trying for BU now, along with Mount Holyoke, Dickinson, and Case Western Reserve. Best of luck to you all!!!!!!

I was deferred too. Everyone's been treating it like it was an acceptance though, congratulating me and hugging me and dancing with me and such, which is odd, but nice :) Anyone know the acceptance rate for deferred candidates?

Congratulations to those who were accepted!

Got in!

Good luck/Congrats to everyone else! :)

Don't lose hope everyone! Write those last letters of "plz plz plz" and wish for the best!

Congrats again to all those who got in! Now we have to send the enrollment forms. But the links included in my decision letter had 2004 forms. Is this just my account?

This is so a deja vu of my first acceptance letter with the wrong dates...

Hey Twilight - I got in ED I and my link had messed up dates too...a couple of letters should be coming through the postal service in a few days that have the enrollment forms. Congrats to everyone - how psyched are you?

Accepted, baby!

Bangor, ME.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF THE ACCEPTEES!

For those deferred, pull up PistolPete's old posts (you have to search the old forum). He, with Jj'sMom's great advice, turned his deferral into an acceptance. He got in other places but ended up at Tufts.

My son got in! Westchester County,NY
