Ok so here's my list; I've met with my very successful marketing professor, who was the vice president of proctor and gamble in her early 20's, in order to get my list set up. What do you think?? What are my chances?? Any others I should consider??

White male from upstate NY community college, transferring into business program for accounting or finance-- GPA 3.6, SAT 1120 old--- looking for a big city college with alot of recruitment.

SAFETIES:
Univ. at Buffalo
Binghamton University

MATCHES:
Syracuse
UCLA
USC
Purdue
Univ. of Miami

sorry but i dont think you have a shot at your reaches- you'll be competing with people who have much better scores, etc, and you're applying to some of the top schools in the country.

I suggest that you drop UCLA and all but one of your reaches unless you enjoy writing transfer essays and paying tons of money. Pick the reach you are most interested in and go for it, but you will not have a great chance. Bottom line, narrow it down a bit.

I don't think 3.6 is mediocore. I think it's very good. But if u're relatively speaking to Econ majors at ucla. I guess i'll agree w/ u. The out of state hurts as well, quite a bit.

UCLA tradionally gives priority to CCC students... The demand for Econ major is pretty high. HAHA i also took some econ classes.

I almost never discourage a student from applying to a dream school, but unless there are amazing pluses in your application that you haven't mentioned here, Wharton is not going to happen. I agree that you should revise the list downward, adding some more realistic matches instead of this many reaches that are likely to be out of reach.
