It's Mountain Day!

A wonderful tradition at Mount Holyoke! Hope you're all having a great day. Freshman -- post what you did today!

My D took the opportunity to sleep, something she really enjoyed. She wanted to climb the mountain and eat ice cream, but a "long nap" was most welcome.

Anyone else?

My daughter with her room mate and about 8 of their friends went up the mountain. She called me from the top!
Last year, as a first year, she had such a great time, she said Mountain Day is a Mt. Holyoke tradition that she never wants to miss. She was already up tuesday morning for Crew practice.

She said this year was beautiful but a bit more windy than last year.

CrewMom, is your D a varsity crew member? My D just got onto the novice team. Interesting choice for her, she's always been athletic, but never much for any water activity.

Like your D, mine was at crew practice, and had every intention of climbing with her roommate, but when it came right down to it...well you know the rest. She was looking forward to it, I do hope she doesn't miss out next year.

don't they have mountain day at williams too?

My D climbed up with a group of friends and said it was fabulous! She e-mailed us a picture of her at the top as well as one of the view.

"just"aMom-

Yes, my daughter is on Varsity Crew at MHC. She LOVES rowing and has been doing crew since sophomore year of high school.

It's a wonderful sport but does take a lot of early morning hours. She was so disappointed that last weeks regatta was cancelled. The weather looks better for this week's regatta.

She will be rowing and we will be there.

CrewMom cheer a bit louder for me this weekend...I'm not so sure my voice can travel that far!
