The winter semester is about to start, which can only mean one thing…
Textbook sales! Textbooks sales everywhere!
I don’t know if this bothers anyone else, but my Facebook feed is cluttered with people selling textbooks and basketball tickets. And it just bothers me how terribly inefficient the entire process is.
For example, say you want to sell a textbook. You’ll put up a post on University Of Michigan Class of 2016 Facebook page saying “Selling Econ 101 - Message me for price” and if you’re lucky, someone will see your post and message you back. But if you’re like most people, your post will be buried by other similar posts within minutes.
And BOOM.
There goes your hope of getting rid of your 50 pound chem textbook that you paid $200 for. Now, it’s probably going to chill in your dorm until you throw it out half-way through the semester.
Couple of my friends and I are trying to fix this.
Soo we came up with this:
Website: http://blueexchangeapp.com
iOS: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/blue-exchange/id948035804?ls=1&mt=8
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.baid.mxchange.m_xchange
I’m just sick of how inefficient the textbook selling process right now is…Hopefully, something like this will help.
What do you guys think? I posted about this earlier and got a lot of good feedback. We completely restructured the website code and are working to make it the best it can be. We’d love any feedback.
