ITT: Post tips to be in the top 25% of UGBA 10.

Post your tips so this semester's 25% is entirely college confidential students.

Sometimes Robinson will say things that seem of little importance. Take note of it though, it might show up in the exam

don’t plug your laptop into the wall outlet

Go to your GSI’s OH before papers. Raise your hand often in section too. Make sure that your GSI knows your name and face so that he/she will rank you high in his/her section.

Also, commenting off ManBearPig, take note of the companies that Robinson mentions. He tries to tie them to the course material.

Make sure to read the articles and get the most important facts out of them.

BTW, this is coming from someone who has taken 3 classes with Robinson. -_-

memorize the book.

Bump…any new tips? I think I just missed three on the M1.
“There is no such thing as mass marketing” GAAAAAH. I would remember after I turn it in.

And how do you actually get called on when the whole flipping class raises their hands? And when the thing you want to say gets said? I raised my hand 4 times last section and didn’t get called on. Not even once.

I got a B- in the class. I was ranked lowest in my section. Class is stupid. Real talk.

go fridays to lecture…he always gives out hints because he knows people skip friday due to hangovers…I got pretty lucky with the class and got a A- got below average for one of the exam (WATCH OUT FOR VOGEL HE IS SO BORING…record his lecture or something because I could not stay awake for him…if hes still teaching). I got lucky and got 100% for one of the exams though lol…and then for participation, I “kind of” participated…but then I got lazy and stopped raising my hand for the last 5 sections…I was going to a B+, but then I really surprised when my GSI gave me a 19/20 for participation…he probably gave me the wrong score hah

lol my friends say that while the material is easy, if you make a silly mistake (just one or two is enough), you’re potentially screwed…doesn’t sound like fun…

Wow, what a thread revival. I don’t know if its too late but if anyone is still interested in tips for this class I can try to help. I accumulated a lot of material (sample papers and years of past midterms) during this course. It’s usually only accessible to people in business frats but I’m willing to help out those who don’t have this advantage. Just pm me if you are interested.

That was an annoying class.
You really probably should memorize the book to answer those one or two questions that everybody else will not get correct.

So true. He stopped lecturing halfway through to yell at a student for this.

Thanks guys!..but seriously…I got the questions that everyone else (like 80%) got wrong, but I missed the obvious lecture ones that were just screaming out to me after I left.

Right about Vogel - he started yesterday…I’ll have to record these for sure.

But I still have no clue how to get called on. And when I do finally become one of the last people left, she’s goes “sorry we’re going to move on now”. I swear she has to have something against me. I spoke once in the last 3 sections.

Anyone have any more of Vogel’s old tests? (I only found spring 2011 online)
