Which is better to graduate from and have a higher change of getting a job?
ITT Tech or a
Community College?

CCs generally only offer an associates.
ITT tech just gives u a certificate that u graduated from ITT tech.

it depends on where u want to go
but id say CC is a lot more flexible as it lets you choose

but if u know u want to get into the tech industry already
itt tech may be better.

As the person above said, it depends. I cannot, under any circumstances, recommend ITT because it is overpriced and the degree is is not regionally accredited. ~$14-15k for a degree without proper accreditation, or ~$1.5k (using Cal. community college rates of $26 per unit) for a regionally accredited one? You do the math. This isn’t to say you can’t get a job with an ITT degree. If you pay attention and learn, you can show the employer you know what you’re doing. But my point is that there are several community colleges with “engineering technology” degrees that can teach you the same skills for a fraction of the price. And, if you find that you are doing well in CC and want to transfer to a university, it would be much easier than transferring from ITT.

One other thing to keep in mind is that community colleges are publicly funded institutions. ITT tech is run by a for-profit corporation. The bottom line for ITT is how much $$ they can milk out of you before you either graduate or drop out.

EDIT: the reason I said “it depends” is that there might not be a CC in your area that has a technology program that you are interested in. If you don’t mind me asking, in which area do you live? Which community colleges are close to you?

Hubby works for an electronics company. He swears he will not hire another ITT grad ever. The ones he has interviewed and/or hired no nothing! I know he’s generalizing but that’s one person’s opinion.
