Does anyone know about the ASURE program for arts and sciences? My daughter got an email about it today. Can you do it with the Hutton Honors program?
Hello! I just got my acceptance from IU!! I’m so happy specially considering it came so late and I thought I wouldn’t get in!!
So my portal says congratulations…
and that the email will come within this week
My email will contain info about scholarship and whether I’m a direct admit or not right?
The letter you get has information about the scholarship. The direct admit will come later.
Did you receive your direct admit letter yet? If so, how long did it take for it to come?
Congratulations!
I got the email today too. Not quite sure about it either, but it sounds cool
Thankyou sm!!
I’m kind of confused regarding scholarships. Was I supposed to apply for scholarships separately or am I considered for any scholarship that I’m eligible for as I applied by the Nov 1st deadline?
You will be considered for all scholarships that you are eligible for, seeing that you applied before November 1st. Congratulations for being accepted to IU and good luck with the scholarships.
Don’t hold your breath waiting for the hard-copy letter or follow up emails, they have been pretty slow this year.
My son received the email about ASURE today as well and I’m interested if anyone has any information on it to.I’ve looked at it today on IU’s site and it sounds like it’s a nice benefit to start their project early, seeing that it’s a requirement for graduation. My son should be hearing from the Hutton Honors College here soon. He finally got to take the ACT in December and scored a 32 which seems to have opened the doors for more opportunities at IU, one of which is being able to apply for the Cox Research Scholarship. If he doesn’t get anything more from IU we are still happy with what he is receiving in scholarships to date. The scholarship process is much different today, maybe because of COVID, than when my oldest was a freshman in 2014. He was a DA to Kelley and IU gave him considerably less money, compared to what they have offered my son this year. Their stats and class rank were almost the same but the financial package was night and day apart.
Thank you sm! Appreciate the help
Yeah so I’ve heard hopefully it won’t take longer than two weeks!
The timeline was as follows:
email from IU with acceptance - 11/30
email from Kelley direct admit - 12/4
physical Letter from IU with acceptance with the initial scholarship award - 12/14
physical letter from Kelley - received early January
SSA scholarship email - 1/4
So I got into iu this week but i’m still waiting on kelley DA and scholarships. They told me that I did not get invited to SSA even though I meet the direct admit requirements as well as Hutton. I’ve seen people with lower stats and lesser ECs get invited (not to be rude) so I am confused. Did this happen to any of you? And is there anything I can do? I tried contacting IU Scholarships but their response is vague.
My daughter submitted her petition for direct admit to Kelley (since she did not have an ACT or SAT score) on Nov 30 and got her acceptance to Kelley today (1/14)
Very similar situation here and also heard today.
Did anyone else get the dean’s scholarship email?
Yes, and the letter is dated December 14th.
Yes, my daughter did :/)
