IU Kelley vs Bentley University

Hey guys. I need some help deciding between attending iu Kelley or Bentley university for business. Living in nj, Bentley would be closer but it is not as recogniZed as Kelley. Also one concern I have for iu is whether I would be able to get a job in the northeast since the school is in the Midwest. As far as money, I got half tuition for Bentley but Indiana will still only be 5,000 more. Please share your input and please don’t be biased.

Most people reading your post (including me) will probably be from the Midwest and literally know nothing about Bentley. All we can speak to is IU. Since the school and good chunk of it’s students are located in the Midwest, it naturally has stronger placement to Chicago and Indianapolis. But the city with the third highest placement rate is New York. Here’s a link to another discussion where the poster had the same concern. I would recommend searching out other threads where similar questions have been asked.

I am a little curious what you mean when you say “Bentley would be closer but it is not as recogniZed as Kelley”. Are you saying people out east (including hiring managers) would consider Kelley more recognized? If so, then you’ve answered your own question.

Of course we are biased. This is an IU forum. LOL

Bentley vs Kelley? That’s a real apples vs oranges comparison with Kelley being a huge top 10 school, and Bentley being a tiny unranked school.

You go to B-school to get a job, so I would suggest going to a place employers know and recruit from - that’s Kelley.

For me, Bentley is smaller than my high school, so that choice was never on my radar. As many have said, you can make a large school feel small, but you can’t make a small school feel large. IU Kelley has opportunities that a school like Bentley just can’t come close to matching. I looked at smaller programs than Kelley, but once I toured the IU campus and talked to students, the choice was clear.

Choose the school that expands your horizons and still makes you feel comfortable and motivated. For me that was IU Kelley.
