Hey guys!
I got into IU, UW and Purdue, and want to pursue business management (undergraduate, no specific concentration). I need your help in selecting the college.
Thanks.
Hey guys!

Did you apply directly to IU’s Kelley School of Business for undergrad? If so, it’s a very prestigious program. If not a direct admit to Kelley, I’m not sure of the average IU student’s path forward in business mgt.
All three are large, state institutions. UW Madison supposedly has fantastic school spirit.
Yes, I applied directly to Kelly School of Business.
I think I might’ve screwed up the abbreviation of University of Washington, Seattle. UW that I typed, is for University of Washington. What’s your opinion on this?
Thanks.
Indiana, Washington, and Purdue are all fine schools with excellent resources, and I would be skeptical that a business degree from any one of them is materially better than the others. How do the costs compare?
FYI, you might also want to post this over in the Business major forum.
The costs of attendance for Indiana and Washington are almost the same ($50,000 pa) while the cost of attendance for Purdue is $45,000.
Thanks for the advice!
So you would save about $20k at Purdue over four years, not taking travel cost into account.
That could really help you with a downpayment on a house, or a start at grad school or… a new car!
IU’s business program is the most prestigious, but honestly, Washington and Purdue likely have high-quality programs too. Name recognition is not a problem with any of these universities.
So – choose based on fit, with a slight built-in edge to Purdue financially.
If you’re a direct admit to Kelley and the 5K difference is not a burden for your family, I’d go with Kelley since it’s considered a cut above the rest.
Thank you all for your opinions! I’ll consider them while taking my decision.
