I’m thinking about shifting careers, so I looked up some Analytics/Data Science programs. I’ve got two prospects, Boston University’s MS CIS (concentration in Data Analytics) (http://www.bu.edu/online/programs/graduate-degree/computer-information-systems/data-analytics/courses.shtml) and Indiana University’s MS Data Science (http://www.bu.edu/online/programs/graduate-degree/computer-information-systems/data-analytics/courses.shtml).
I do not have much background in computer science and programming, but have some statistics subjects under my belt. Aside from the syllabus, the kicker really is that BU’s program probably costs around 35K, and IUB’s costs around 12 K (probably since it’s a new program)
Do you think BU is worth that much ? Or would IUB provide at least comparable academic quality at a lower cost ? Thanks for the feedback!
