I just got my acceptance letter and I am in the Whitehead School! Anyone else out there joining me????

hey, where is everybody???????? Hope this isn't a sign or something

when did you send your application in? i basically sent mine the night before it was due, haha. I also applied honors and I haven't heard anything yet.

Thank God there is life on this site!!!! Glad to hear from ya! I sent mine the beginning of October, I think. Are you going to be a part of Whitehead? Tell me your thoughts on why you applied to SHU.

Nope, I applied for journalism and PR.

I haven't visited yet, but I have a friend who goes there and likes her teachers/classes. I'm intrigued by it because there are so many scholarships and it's close to home but not very close. It's also close to the city, which is where I prefer to be.

DD got her acceptance today. She is undeclared. Did any of you have merit/scholarship offers with your acceptances? Congrats!

hello everyone i have been going to college since i left school and i have been learning ever such a lot i do a computer course because i have been into computers for a long time and since i left school i have ever since enjoyed college life i love college and i dont have a single day of from (steve17)

well done for getting accepted im new today soz if im a bit late from steven17

@ oaksmom- i received $64,000 rewarded as $16,000 every year.

Terrific glamourously...congrats! Was that included in your acceptance packet or did it come seperately?

I got a big envelope today. At first i thought i go t accepted. Turns out it was just a letter giving me course descriptions. The funny thing was it sounded like an acceptance letter and had the dean's signature. Dammit, i hate to wait. Especially because it's such a great school. Anyone else get this, or is the acceptance letter just phrased really wierd?

My son was accepted to the Whitehead School and also received the $64,000 package. It sounds like a great opportunity. He is still waiting on Hopkins, Georgetown and Princeton.

Congrats to all. My DD is a sophomore and loves the school for all the reasons stated here; good financial aid; small classes; small but lovely campus; great teachers; excellent rep for the school; good library; close to our home in CT and to NYC; friendly students. It's all good.

yeah i got a merit scholarship of 12,500 a year so 50,000 for 4 years and im in stillman for sports management

Has anyone read a college ******* on SHU? I'd be curious what they have to say about the greek life and its demands on students. That is an important issue for deciding on which school to go to.

What is a college *******?

I also received a 50,000 package, not entirely sure whether or not I'm going, but I'm definitely thinking about it!

This cite blocks out the name of the publication but see if this makes it thru the censure... College P R O W L E R. It is a book you can buy online that students write on almost every college in the US and it has all the inside info on things like dorms, drugs, campus personality, things that the administration might want to gloss over. I think that it is a must read for anyone before choosing where you are going to be for the next four years.

got accepted last week one of the greatest moments of my life. My entire Highschool career has been validated.

What will your major be?

How good is SHU? Is it extremely diverse? I have heard mixed reviews about the school and the majority of them have been negative. It seems like most students feel that the school does not offer enough and/or a lot of the student body do not care much for school.
