When I started off high school, I was not aware of Pre-AP & AP Classes and how they worked. I only knew that they just went faster than regular classes. Therefore, I took all regular classes and averaged around a 3.75 GPA throughout freshman and sophomore year. However, I had to move schools and I started taking all Pre-AP and AP classes and it was hard for me to adjust. I ended up with a GPA of a 3.4 on my transcript and now I'm a senior applying to college. I applied to UH Main, UTA, UT Dallas, and UH Downtown. Other than my grades, I am in pharm tech and I am part of a charity and have over 500+ volunteer hours. I did not know about the whole automatic acceptance percentage until senior year where it was too late. Also, my SAT scores were not great either. I took it twice and it increased a lot, but not enough to get automatic admission to UH where I really want to go. After submitting for early admission, I was rejected by all of the schools I applied to, but UH Downtown and I cried for 1 week straight (but I know colleges don't care). I want to appeal my application to UH, but I'm scared of getting rejected again.

What are my chances of getting in if I appeal for UH? I also want to retake my SAT and see if they increase as well and take the ACT. Will this help me have a better chance of getting into UH-Main? Also, if I do get rejected again what is a better idea? Going to UH-Downtown then transferring in the spring of 2015 to UH main? or Going to HCC and transferring in the spring?

By the end of my senior year, I will be having 9 hours for college and I'm planning to go to HCC for summer school, but I'm not sure which will increase my chances of getting into UH-Main.

Also, for transfer students, if you meet the requirements for a transfer student, will you automatically get in?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm just really scared for my future.
Thank you.
