Hi,

Today I took the US History, Math IC, and Spanish SAT II's. I think that i did fine on the US History and Math IC. The Spanish test, i couldn't understand any of the words (it wasn't that I didn't remember them, it was more that i had never been taught them). Because of this, i ended up just filling up the answer sheet, thinking to myself that i would not send it to colleges (and that i'd send the other two).

When i got home, I found out that I either have to send them (the tests) all, or none. I can't send none because two of my colleges require them, and if i send them all I don't think i'd get in because i'd (literally) have something in the 200-300s, because I essentially guessed on all the problems.

Is there anyway that I can send just two? Retaking isn't an option because i'm taking the SAT I in Nov, and the schools that require the SAT II's, I'm applying EA and ED.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Either they all go or none go. I wish it were otherwise, but it's not. I called the SAT and asked if it was at all possible to do otherwise, but they said no. Cancelling 1 score also is not an option - I asked about that too.

just hope you guessed well enough for 500s or 600s. My friend literally guessed on the physics one and got 620. So if you had ANY feeling at all about the answers than you should get above that. Score of like a negative 26 is in the 200s. So anything positive should be 400+.

I pretty much blind guesses them all. We'll see. Thanks for the quick replies.

Next question: How much will it affect my admittance if i have a really low SAT II score with two decent scores, along with everything else up to standards?

Also, what would colleges think if i made a note about why my score was so low?

I don't think it'd have a huge impact, unless they are specifically asking for a language test. It won't look 'good', but I doubt that it'll be the basis of a rejection.

What would you say to explain why it's so low? If you have in your transcripts that you studied Spanish, and you tell them that it is another language you speak, then I'm not sure how telling them "It wasn't taught to me" would make up for that.

You could have changed it very quickly to the MathIIC test after seeing you knew nothin and hoped for a 650ish range (not bad for people who arent matheletes). While this is boarderline illegal, a 600+ on a very hard test would look better than 500 on another test. I guess you could cancel your scores and retake in November with enough time to rush them to colleges for early admissions.

I guess i'll just have to wait and see if my guessing skills are any good. As for an explanation, there isn't really much to say.

It really doesn't make any sense why they wouldn't let you send individual scores. It's not like it gives anyone an advantage.

Thanks iamnervous

Im pretty sure what theyll end up htinking is that u skipped one question and ended up messing up the order of ur ENTIRE test.
so they might think u just got unlucky if u had 2 700+s and one 400 on the same test date
