ivies for electrical engg. ??

I suggest anyone considering Yale for engineering thoroughly investigate comparative adequacy of: # of dedicated engineering faculty who teach undergrads, undergraduate engineering majors/specialties offered, number of undergraduate courses offered in each of these areas of engineering. If after investigation it meets your needs, great.

If you're applying to their graduate school to do research in a particular area within engineering that they actually have strength in, well that's a whole other game. As an entering undergrad it is frequently not so clear where within the field you will end up, so breadth of offerings/coverage is more important at this stage than grad school, IMO.

Good post - investigate carefully, but do it by actually visiting the campus and talking to students and professors, not by looking at faculty webpages or course pages.
