oh but has Umich released the decisions already?? where can i find it??
Rejected from all ivies: Yale, UPenn, Princeton, Brown, Columbia, …Also UC Berkeley, Duke
got waitlisted: UCLA
@ANormalSeniorGuy Congrats on UC Berkeley Regents!
@ANormalSeniorGuy It’s always good to have a situation where your decision is pretty much made for you. I would say UCB Regents is better than let’s say full-pay at certain Ivys. Congrats. You deserve one to go your way. My kid wasn’t even offered any Regent from any UCs. lol
accepted at cornell (ll), waitlisted at columbia, and rejected from the rest. tbh after the cornell likely letter I thought I’d have a chance at the other ivies, but I guess not. oh well–uc berkeley regents 2021!
@scarletwitchx are you committing to UCB? Congrats! I am regents too!
@ANormalSeniorGuy not sure yet, but I’m considering Berkeley, Cornell, Harvey Mudd, and JHU right now. (lw waiting for Stanford too but I’m probably getting rejected.) However, I will most probably end up at Berkeley because it’s cheap/in-state/closeby/good for engineering/all that jazz.
Accepted to Penn (first choice) and Cornell, waitlisted at Columbia, rejected from Yale. So excited!
Well that settles it. Looks like I’m going to Stanford. Accepted to USC but waitlisted to Harvard. I’m wondering if it has anything to do with the fact that I told my interviewer I applied to Stanford and got accepted. Oh well, I was planning on choosing Stanford anyways. Congratulations to everyone who got accepted today, and good luck to everyone waiting on Stanford tomorrow!!! Wishing you luck in your future plans.
@PCamacho97024 I hate you. Not personally, but as a UCB Regent who did not get into Stanford, the rivalry has begun.
Oops. Late to the party - I was actually avoiding the huge influx of posters today haha. I was rejected from al the ivies I applied to except waitlisted at Harvard. Also accepted to UCB! (But the financial aid statement… whew. Being out of state means that my financial aid statement isn’t very nice)
Accepted to Brown and Dartmouth
Waitlisted at Harvard, Penn, and Columbia
Rejected from Princeton and Yale
Accepted to Brown! Opened it first and was still in shock opening the other five rejections but I’m happy
Rejected by all five, and any other top uni I applied to. I’m numb with the amount of guilt and regret
Rejected - Harvard, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Brown, Northwestern, Duke, Williams, John Hopkins
Waitlisted - NYU
Accepted - Penn (still in shock)
I had lost all hope when even NYU was a waitlist when I thought I’d be 100% admitted, but Penn was the last one I checked and I got in, I still can’t believe it.
Accepted : Princeton, UC Berkeley and Yale
Rejected :Brown, Dartmouth, Columbia(didn’t submit supplement), and Cornell
Now to decide between Princeton and Yale…mercy.
Rejected by all eight. I had unique experiences and a big dream…thinking about quitting my life right now.
dont be, come on it’s just colleges and there’s a long way ahead of you.
waitlisted at cornell, but otherwise rejected from all that i applied to - harvard, princeton, columbia, dartmouth, duke, upenn, yale. also rejected from johns hopkins university and usc (but did not submit supplements), amherst.
honestly im devastated… its so embarrassing that i applied to so many ivies with stats so mediocre for an ivy (e.g. SAT 1500). but i still got accepted to all UCs i applied to: UCB, UCI, UCLA, UCSB. oh well. must be a combination of me being an international student + low stats + asian female (so they would expect more) + undeclared major + bad recommendations (i’m guessing… because UCs did not require recommendations so)
I wouldn’t assume you got bad recommendations. With your stats you probably had great recommendations!
In the Ivy Lotto, recommendations don’t count for much.
Congrats on all the UC acceptances! It isn’t easy getting into UCLA, a lot of kids are devastated because THAT was their dream school.
