After many hours of online research I am still at a loss for deciding on a good fit for my student athlete decision. I am considering the following Yale, Cornell, Princeton, Brown, Dartmouth, Penn, and not Ivy but great schools Lehigh, University of Chicago, Washington University. These are not local to me so any feed back would be appreciated.

uh. if i were you id pick the school you like most academically, and which one has your major. Because at the fcs level its very rare a player goes on to the next level of footballl, so make sure you choose the school you will like all around, not just the school with the best football team.

Yale would be my choice. Be part of the Harvard-Yale tradition and get a top notch education. Sounds perfect.

Pay attention to the time commitment differences as well. Depending on the coach you may be an athlete first and a student second which is fine for many people. Also make sure it’s a school you would want to be at if for some reason you should play football. Definitely post on the the athletic forum for feedback from people with more experience.

Have you had a chance to visit these schools? As a recruited athlete I’d assume they’ve offered your the opportunity. Take the chance and meet the coach and other students to see which program you like the best.
