Ivy League and the ACT

Thank You! But what do you mean “ALL your SAT data”? I’ve already taken three subject tests (two 700+ and one below 600) ; are you implying “all” as in if I send in subject test scores I must also take and send SAT I scores? or you’re saying they will just see all of my SAT scores (I or II) that are available? Sorry if I seem lost, this is just slightly confusing.

You send ALL the SAT scores you have taken. You don’t need to take any more but you can’t use score choice.

This thread is really annoying. No college will say that they accept either and then give preference to one. That’s just irrational and pretty mean, too.
This thread will be read by many anxious students and will heighten their anxiety even more.

CC has become a breeding ground for these conspiracy theories, and to be completely honest, it is SO ANNOYING. I’m confident enough to know that these comments are completely misinformed. Some, however, don’t realize this. Please don’t make anymore of these threads. They have a negative impact upon the CC community.

@sallymeno11‌ you are free to ignore threads that don’t interest you. Some students have questions (some of which are very basic) that they would like to have answered.

I just realized today that one can indeed use score choice on SAT II at Stanford (I know it’s not Ivy). Not regular SAT I or ACT. I always thought it’s completely disallowed, apparently not. Yale/UPenn/Cornell though still disallow score choice completely. So if you have any SAT I and IIs, they will all go together.

^ I don’t know why you think that.

Where do you get that Stanford allows score choice??

The part below what you quoted. That’s why I say I just realized since I didn’t pay attention to the rest either initially. :)

Ah. I see

That is different from most. At Yale and others SAT IIs are really only optional for low income students.

This may be true for many schools, but not Yale. Yale does state explicitly that they accept the ACT plus Writing OR the SAT with two SAT subject tests.

Yes. Should have used Harvard as the example <a href=“Harvard makes SAT Subject Tests optional - Yale Daily News”>http://yaledailynews.com/crosscampus/2014/05/22/harvard-makes-sat-subject-tests-optional/
