Ivy league School or good state School

Jeff, I PMed you.

I guess I need to get a hook zorn thank you for being positive i do appreciate it. I guess if this thread did nothing else it shows just how serious i need to get if I want to get into a top tier school. Zorn thank you so much for posting I was a little tempted to essentially give up. Hopefully when I’m posting a chance thread in a year my chances will be better. That being said thanks swingtime and others for telling just how important it is for me to improve my grades. I guess I’m off to study for the sats and find a hook thanks for the help everyone

OK, NOW you’re talking Jeff. Yeah, you really really really need to work. So, if we put the fear of God into you, GOOD!!! Please post again after you have taken your SATs.

I don’t want to destroy your hopes completely, but your grades are not ivy level, or state flagship level. A 2000 SAT will NOT help. You must pull a 2100 at least. Your EC’s are banal and you have no major awards. From what i can see you have no hooks. Even if you write an amazing essay, there is still a pretty large chance you will not get into them. ED is for people that have a chance, or are close and just want to be guaranteed entrance. You should still apply, but apply to safeties as well. How competitive is your school? A C at Exeter, is an A at most high schools. What do you want to major in? Try the ACT as well. Your course load is not very rigorous, so focus on that as well.
