According to Rivals.com Princeton football ended up 5th in the Ivy League last year, this included losses to Lehigh, Georgetown, Cornell, Penn and Dartmouth. For the 2012 recruitment class Rivals.com only followed 10 of the 32-35 recruits. Of the 10 followed none committed before 11/17/11. Pricetons best recruit (3 stars) committed on 12/8/11. This compares to the Princeton men swim team which won the Ivy League championship in 2012 and sent 5 of their swimmers to the NCAA D1 national championship. For the incoming freshman class of 2013 collegeswimming.com lists 7 male recruits only 2 of which committed before Oct 31. The earliest recruit committed on Oct 18. Although many fine athletic recruits (including Sherpa and Sidelines children) commit prior to the OV, these results suggest that most Ivy League recruits commit following the OV.

sherpa: you may be correct…it was certainly promised early and the applicant submitted way ahead of the EA deadline (that was my D’s friend.) I know for my D the LL came after RD submission but she wasn’t promised one until after the RD deadline.

Great!!!
