I am attending Clarkson University and I would like to transfer to an Ivy League school. I dont know what my chances are so I am asking for your opinion. I am considering schools like MIT, Princeton, Stanford, Berkley etc.
Heres is how I stand:

Freshman
GPA: 4.00
Senate Representative (College Government)
Serving on several comities.
High SAT Scores.

No I didn't (Suze). How would I possibly have a 4.00 in college, if I have a 500 on my SAT. I realize that everybody ONLY looks at the so called SAT standards. And are you not able to get a 4.00 with a 500? (Even though if I had a 500 on my SAT then you can't judge one's performance in college solely on his sat scores.)

Vido, I'm quite sure that you posted your verbal score as 500 on another thread. You and everyone else can click on your name to see it at your 16th post. Sure, many can get a 500 with a 4.0. I was just commenting on your "high SAT score" comment above.

In my opinion, your lack of truth alone makes you unlikely for a top school, good luck anyway! I guess.

How do you know if I have retaken the SATs or not? And almost a year has passed since I have posted that score.

What you see is not always what it seems to be. I did retake the sat and I did get a high SAT score which I don't want to include because everybody is only looking at that.

And by the way about the truthfulness statement you made (Suzi) I am supremely confident that there are much, much, much more honest people in other schools than ivy schools. And, how does that make me not a good applicant?

I suggest you search the Common Data Sets for the schools you're interested in; it'll give you an idea of the competition. Yale, for example, received 696 applications; 26 were accepted. Stanford accepted 62 out of 1281.

As the ivies have more time, money and staff to examine their applicants than just aboutany other schools, I would have to believe the varacity of their students is way up there. Congrats on your new SAT scores! I'm sure if you belong at a top school, you will end up at one!

It will be under the Transfer section (section D). Some schools (Harvard, U Penn, etc.) keep them secret, though, so I'm not sure you can find their numbers.

Unfortunately we need more info here. How were you in high school, what are your SATs, and what are your ECs. A 4.0 at Clarkson isn't going to mean much if the rest isn;t there.
