Yeah, I was mad. I only had a few courses to go too. But I was angrier at the fact that we were stuck in transietion flight aka sqaudron 41 forever.
I was in jagurar's Charlie, so if you ask anyone in squadrons 37-40, they'll be able to tell you about the girl who fell off the obstacle. Apparently my whole squad knows about it.
I'm a medical turnback, so if I don't mess up my neck again, I'll be able to return with next year's class. At least, that's what my orders say. But I've acccepted it and since I got so far through basic, next year should be easier to go through since I know what's coming. IPlus, I have all my stuff and it's servicable from what I can tell, so I don't think I'll have to march across the terrazzo with a huge bag again :)

Good to know now go sign up at the CC of CS and take that Physics, Chem, and Calc class and you will have an even eaiser year next year.

I'm trying. Which reminds me: any prior medical turnbacks want to give me some advice as to how to get into college and validate courses? As I need to stay in the springs for physcial therapy at the academy, my choices are severely limited. Any advice?

Fudge_rabbit - I'm glad to see you, sorry about what happened. How are you feeling? A neck brace can't be all that comfortable. Thankfully the fall was not more severe. I met you at Orientation when I was there with my son. I guess he's ok, haven't heard from him since DDO. I did see him yesterday on WebGuy in his blues - looked good!
Welcome back...

They didn't believe me when I walked into the medical tent and said I'd fallen directly on my head as I was talking coherently and didn't lose conciousness. Lucky the o-course has that rubbery material under all the obstacles- probably saved me from killing myself.
I feel fine except a burning sensation in my neck, which is just a sign of a ligament tear. Other than that, I'm great. I'm just wearing the brace on and off to stop the soreness when it becomes a little unbearable. I'm just sad that I'm not with my flight anymore. But it could be worse, and the government's paying for my rehab and I'm guarenteed a spot in next year's class provided I fully recuperate (my doctor said I would in 4-6 weeks). I just REALLY don't want to do the assault course another two times...

Can someone explain the Valley Sweepstakes? Are there individual kudos for doing the A-course again (for example)?

for the sweepstakes, all the flights must have ppl complete various events. these include o and a courses, push-ups, sit-ups, etc. basically all of the results from each event are changed into scores, and the flight with the highest score gets recognition and an award for being the best. this time through for the a-course and what not is not as hellish as the first couple times, and its straight through instead of being trained between every single event. the only individual kudos is if that you do it so someone else in your flight doesn't have to

Thanks! Who won?

don't know for this year, but Guts A-flight (Sq. 25) won last summer

I think Cobras D-flight. I think cobras also got outstanding squadron, but I wasn't there.

So you're the basic who fell off the belly buster...

Hooah, Cobras Delta. We actually took 2nd as a flight to Hellcats Alpha, but we did win outstanding squadron.

It was the belly robber that you fell off of? Was it on the flipping dismount at the end? I remember that they changed the policy on that between my first and second run through the course. The first time through, we did the "safety roll" or whatever to get off of it. The second time they told us to just lower our legs and jump down. Were you the impetus there?

At least you could get UP onto the belly buster. :(

What redhead said!! I fell flat on my back on every attempt I had to mount that stupid thing! And I got to the top of the reverse wall but couldn't make it over. I was angered... :(
But we made it shorty!

That's because we're amazing, Bluemer. :) Basically.

wow.....

And what was that look you made this morning redhead. I wasn't sure when you were passing in Mitch's if it was, "O hey, but I shouldn't say anything so I'll just smile sheepishly" or "O god its him, I hope he doesn't notice me"

...I still need to come and find you during a training session...

...you know why...

...dun dun dun dun dun....

Gosh, I try and keep my military bearing for once instead of getting all excited and getting a huge smile on my face and calling you by your first name, and I get mocked for it.

And maybe I was just smiling in an attempt not to laugh because I came from my first Mitchell Hall cadate. Oh wait, no, that was today. Nevermind. No excuse, sir.

P.S. G4C, I love how you threaten these beatings and accuse hornet of being the mean one. You're both mean as far as I'm concerned, but I'm just saying... :)

I'm back. No it wasn't the belly buster. I couldn't get up on the dang thing, it was too high. It was the one where you do the single flip over the solitary log. I guess since I had no clue what obstacle I was on, people mistaked it for the belly buster. And at least YOU guys actually made it to acceptance day- I was in the clinic today for an appointment and saw some four degrees walking around... I think I almost cried.
I really didn't want it to be having the reputation as the girl who fell on her head... although I've got to admit, hearing reveille at 0430 and hearing you guys doing morning pt while I was nice and warm made my week... a small consolation, considering I have to do it all over again next year. By the way, did you guys ever do that warrior run?

It turned into a warrior march.

I really wish I had some witty remark for this. :)
