Wednesdays have long parades at lunch if that interests you. Fridays have a normal formation for lunch that takes about 1/3 the time. That's about it lol.

It's so weird to have people..... observing us... did any other four digs feel the effects of that on the 4th of july when people were "feeding" us candy and hamburgers? Sure, it was awesome, but at the same time I couldn't help feeling like a zoo animal.

Well, we are at the blue zoo!

HARD-CORE 2-4! YEAH!

Yep, we're pretty tough, but fair. You won't do stuff for no reason in this squadron. At the same time though, you don't get away with stuff either. Oh. and the whole squadron is pretty loyal too, which is cool. And it's also pretty cool having a greeting with "hard-core" in it.

lol.. i got another question. i've seen some cadets and their hats, with no chin straps.. others i've seen WITH chin straps. why do some have them and others dont?

They all have chinstraps but we only put them down when we have to like when it's too windy and it would fly off our heads otherwise. And I think Honor Guard always wears their chinstraps down during competitions.

oh okay, thanks bluemer!

Just a reminder that 24 is one less than 25. But you come close, Falcons '11. :) And it is funny having people cluster around the chapel and watch us march across the terrazzo. Just one of the many unique things about being here at USAFA.

haha well gee thanks.. i gotta visit the place sometime though. so lemme alone! :)

To all my stellar 4 degree comrades,

If you feel like laughing (I know we weren't issued a sense of humor, but just go with it), read this:

Code of Conduct for 4th Class Cadets of the United States Air Force Academy:

Article I
I am a cadet fighting in the forces which eliminate my liberties and determine our way of life. I am prepared to give my freedom in their defense.

Article II
I will never break of my own free will. If class rep, I will never volunteer the members of my squadron while they can be broken.

Article III
If I am beaten, I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort not to break and aid others to not break. I will accept both water and rest periods from the upperclassmen.

Article IV
If I get caught in a training session I will support my fellow trainees. I will not pimp my classmates. If I am class rep, I will divert the beatings from the weak. If I am weak, I will strive to be a stealth cadet.

Article V
When questioned, should I be trained, I am required to give my trainer’s name, rank, AFSC number, date of birth, hometown, 2nd cousin’s middle initial, and the three names of his/her pet fish. I will BS the answers to further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will not pimp my classmates and will show squadron pride.

Article VI
I will never forget that I am a 4th class cadet, forfeiting my freedom, responsible for my own and my upperclassmen’s actions, and dedicated to the principles which make me a Warrior. I will trust in my God, and my training officer.

:) I got this in an email today. I don't mean to insult or make light of the Code of Conduct in any way, I just found this highly amusing.

I had this taped up to my bulletin board my entire freshman year. Good stuff.
