I don't believe they would penalize you if you SSAT scores arrived late. That would be completely unfair, seeing as they specifically say they accept 6 January scores.

I would NOT have my applications arrive late - even by a day or two. Applications are also a way of making sure you can manage your time and follow directions.

Postmarked means the date that the post office stamps on your letter when you mail it. If you look at some schools (Deerfield & Hotchkiss for example) they explicitly say just post marked by deadline, not received.

Agreed generally as to potential negative perception of being a little late with application, although I can confirm that adcoms at two schools were clear that they still considered apps that came in a little late as being timely. Sounded like they understood how busy kids are generally and how much work was involved in application process for kids applying to multiple schools. Still going to try to get my daughter's in on time though.

I have a question. Do grade 9's aplying for grade 10 need to submit a high school transcript? I heard you need to but m,y mom says no. I'm applying for Andover btw. Thanks

I believe they need your most recent grades. This should be part of the school report section of the application.

If you have any more questions, you should call or email Andover. They are the best source.
