JAN SAT curve

Lets all start posting how many questions we missed on each of the three sections:

What hell. The curve was crazy:

CR: Raw- 60 Scaled- 720
M: Raw-52 Scaled-780 (what is up with that?! I missed two I guess.)
W: Raw-47 Scaled- 75 (harsh. Last time I got 47 and got a 78, but I'll take the math curve!) Essay- 9 Overall- 740

CR- 6 Wrong= 720
Math- 1 Wrong= 800
Writing- 1 Wrong, 10 Essay= 790

Critical Reading - 3 wrong = 760 (Raw score: 63)
Math - 1 wrong = 800 (Raw score: 53)
Writing subscore - 4 wrong = 69 (Raw score: 44);
Actual writing score, combined with an essay of 10 = 710

Does anyone know if -1 on CR could have been 800 or if -1 could be 80MC on writing? I can't see my break down yet.

I knew I had missed two math problems all along, but that scaled score of 780 made me question it some.

No. 1 wrong on writing MC was a 78.

I missed two in CR=800
Three in math=740
Two in writing, 12 essay=790

CR- 5 wrong=730
Math-3 wrong=760
Writing-0 wrong, 8 essay=790

Those are some insanely high scores, there's much I could learn here.

Oh, darn! I had a 50/50 shot at an 800 for CR, and I picked the wrong choice and lost 40 points! Oh the agony!

Ok, so far it looks like the scale is this.

CR 800 800 800 760 750 730 720...
M 800 800 780 760 740 730 720 710...
W 80 78 75 xx xx 69 ...

CR: 0 mistakes, 800
Math: 3 mistakes, and one omit ( Still maintain that I didn't omit any :) ) 730
Writing: 2 mistakes and 11 in essay (did the same in Dec. and got 800)

writing: 3 wrong, subscore 71, essay 8 - 690

icebarracuda, you're judging on the raw scores, for the decreasing scales, right? (I mean, 800, 800, 800 would mean 0 deduction, 1 deduction 2 deduction . . . )

I don't think the CR curve is 800 800 800 760. I got 3 wrong and got 760, but my raw score should be -4. So it should be 800 800 800 780 760 or something like that.

oh god, I just realized that if i had gotten one more right in any of the sections, I would've had 800 in that section.

This is what we know of the CR curve so far.

0 wrong = 800
1 wrong (loss of 1 raw points, rounded) = 800
2 wrong (loss of 2 raw points, rounded) = 800
3 wrong (loss of 3 raw points, plus an additional one) = 760 - this is really a loss of four raw points; we don't know what the score of three raw points (at least one omit) would be.

I'm so disappointed you have no idea. I will never forget what euphemism means for the rest of my life.

Murasaki, yes I am going by raw score. I was wrong on the CR scale, there should be a number between 800 and 760 but I don't know what it should be.

Aqua, there is always next time :P.

I am amazed at the generosity of the scale this time around. -2 is still an 800 in CR and -1 is 800 in Math.

One of my friends got 750 CR, so I am assuming a raw score of -5 is 750.

yo aqua I'm in the same boat....if I left the euphemism I would have gotten 800 just like you...I got a 760 too :(
