For the 50/51 one, I used a calculator and the sum() and just plugged the equations in (both of them) and got the same answer.

OtherWindow: I put 2in of overlap…how bout you?

oh so we were having a dissension in the CR thread so pplz please help ascertain:
girl writing for G-ma was self satisfied or conscientious?
g-ma was resolved or resignation during long silence?
2nd theory, gate theory (not Descartes) say to the end questions? Was it new devices haven’t been developed so they cant find the problems OR stressing
vocab: talented kid was vituoso/precocious or prodigy/exceptional
artist one? arrest and preserve
NA one? eschew and adhere?

Okay, i didnt have a writing experimental. do they switch experimentals or what? because i clearly remember not having two 25 minute writing sections.
how many cr was there and m was there?

@ivycraze
-for the gma, i put conscientious, since she was trying to sort of “act as her”.
-i put resignation . . . not sure about that one though
-i don’t know which one you’re referring to
-prodigy exceptional
i remember using eschew and adhere and arrest and preserve.

@chickybugger
isn’t it 1 inch because one overlap = 1 inch from both lines = 2 inches.

@ivycraze:
i put

girl was conscientious (but i forget the question. does anyone remember?)
grandma’s silence = resignation
gate theory: i believe it was new devices haven’t been developed so they can’t tell what the real physical cause is
talented kid was prodigy/exceptional
artist - arrest and preserve (POI guess)
NA escew and adhere

if this is what i had:
essay, math, reading, reading, math,math,writing,reading,math(20min),writing(20min)… which one was probablay my experimental section???

hey guys, i also took the jan sat and i thought it was ok…
this time being my first test, i can’t really predict my score…
reading was alright,…
except i kept thinking about a mistake i found in previous chapters while reading,
which really got on my nerves
math, I answered all the questions. so hopefully 800 lol
essay topic was fair…
and i had writing for experimental…

my sections were in
essay,reading,reading,math,math, writing, writing,math,reading,writing

either section 6 or 7 is my experimental…

section 6 writing essay revision part (last part of the writing section)was about (Irealand , and a girl revisiting Ireland or something (i didn’t finish reading it :p)) and the other section’s revision was about bicycle…

Im preety sure that ireland one was an experimental… (my friend who had math experimental had bicycle one not ireland)

lollll
gl to yall
but to make srue, does anyone know ???

“isn’t it 1 inch because one overlap = 1 inch from both lines = 2 inches.”

That doesn’t even make sense.

…---------
Say that’s 2 inches. Are you telling me that you’re supposed to for some reason split that in half? o_o

Answer is self-satisfied. Paraphrasing the passage, the girl said she was basically happy abandoning her own personality and becoming her grandma.
Conscientious means wanting to do what’s right. In that very paragraph, she talked about “betraying” her mother, and for the most part, changing your grandma’s letters when she doesn’t know doesn’t exactly sound like the “right” thing to do.

what did u guys put for the last question on the pain theory,
D or E
D) coundrum of scientits
E) incomprehensible nature of science

or something like tat

hey
I got a writing dummy, but I need to figure out which one it is
Okay so guys without writing dummies
did you have bicycling as your passage in writing or no?

@jinyeofamily
Yeah, I did.
I had a CR experimental, so your bicycle one is legitimate.

What I meant was that you had to go from like 30 to 22 right? (sorry i don’t really remember the question, just the process). and say you had to cut 8 inches using 4 overlapping regions. superficially, it looks like you’d just go 8/4 = 2 inches. so you overlap two inches each. However, when you overlap just one inch from each region, it takes away 2 inches total from the 30, because you’re taking one inch of one and putting it on one inch of the other. I still don’t remember the question so I can’t really confirm this.

UPDATE: i think it was from 30 inches to 22.

so here’s the line
--------------
there are four regions to overlap. so overlapping 1 inch of each region would give you the measurements:
5, 4, 4, 4, 5
add them up = 22.
so you’ve successfully reduced 30 (originally 5 lines of 6 inches) to 22. <-that is, if that was the question ( i have really poor memory. lol )

some reading questions for ya…

Oh okay, I see what you mean, but it’s still 2 inches :/.

…-------

^ If you look at my poorly drawn diagram, you can see that they’re both overlapping the same amount. Say that’s 2 inches. Had it been 1 inch, it would look more like:

…------
It’s kind of hard to explain like this, but when you’re overlapping, you don’t add up both parts of the overlap.

a defender of gate theory would most likely argue that the problem of ~ lies not in the theory but in
*—Scientific technology is inadequate.

basketball player
why bible and goat ironic?
*—He played baseball, and it was ironic because it pokes fun, or whatever the answer choice was.

and passage 1 would say that paige “did not put a stop to it” because…
*—He told stories himself, like the goat story for example.

Tribulation house (?)
definition of broadcast
display openly/ distribute widely/ announce loudly
*—It was talking about the bones or something right? I think it was distribute widely, unless I’m remember a different question.

something about bohemian chandelier: ?
*—Provided an example for a phenomenon. Talked about how everything was made of…plaster of paris, iirc?, then in parenthesis it talked about how the chandelier wasn’t even from Bohemia.

Granddaughter writing a letter
definition of “betray”
desert,reveal,deceive
*—Reveal. It was talking about betraying your true self, and the Grandmother didn’t want to show her sister, etc etc.

@jooninnyc
-I put “conundrum…of scientists”
-The goat’s age was ironic because it was ridiculing how everyone else was making this huge deal about his age…I forgot the exact wording
-Passage 1 would say “he actually contributed to the rumors”
-I put “distribute widely”
-betray=revel

Someone back me up here.
(Oh yeah I also got 1 on the overlap!! These posts are freaking me out with all the “2”'s)

^^OKay thanks LiquidCharr

what score (approximately) would i get for writing if i got all my grammar questions right and an 8 on the essay?

760-780? Around there.
