Was it just me that was taken aback by the grasshopper ? I was expecting everything related to anatomy, plants, dna, rna… but that came totally out of the blue.I used Barron’s and Princeton Review. No sign of grasshoppers .

@Ubiquitous1100 I agree with you. That’s what I was taking about in my previous post (#180)

yeah… the common topics on practice exams (which i studied for & memorized) like photosynthesis, cellular respiration, hormones, renal system, etc. were not on there!! :(

For those of you who took the Molecular test, did you guys think it was hard?

im still struggling to figure out the grasshopper one, because although most of you said the excretory system was in the upper half of the body (and some of it is, specifically the midgut), the malphigian tubes, which are the primary EXCRETORY part, are located in the grasshopper-butt area.
i checked with my AP Biology book (Campbell, most popular i think), and it confirmed this.

I think we said that the reproductive organs are in the middle. but you’re right the excretory system is at the rear of the grasshopper.

^I’m pretty sure it was agreed that the reproductive organs are in the abdomen. Any grasshopper anatomy will tell you that the oviduct/ovaries are in the abdomen and everything else therefore is also in the abdomen since that’s where grasshopper sex happens.

I already told you how I think I did (-1). The curves are pre-determined. Therefore, you should just follow the old CB test grading scale. Not very many people took this test since it was in Jan, so not very many people will respond. It’s already hard for some who are nervous. They don’t want to have toworry about it more responding to your comment. I’m just saying caceling your scores is a decision yo have to make. I’m not exactly sure how subject test scores work so I won’t tell you what to do. Good Luck

Oh ya I wanted to let you know that grasshopper anatomy (as well as erthworm/hydra anatomy) is in the Barrons book. However, it was only on the digestive system.By the way, it was a question on any bugs in general with focus on the thorax and abdomen. But, the thing is that the three questions were kind of IQ questions… It showed you where the legs were attached and you had to look at the picture and select where they were. The excretory just makes sense. Like, bugs have anuses… (That part was in the Barrons) and grasshoppers have spiracles in the abdomen… And reproductive organs… They have reproduction like many mammals. And they get on top of each other( even spiders will lift up females and jam in two orbs of their sperm into the female spider’s butt). Therefore, the reproduction has to occur in the butt, not the mouth (only other opening I could think of besides spiracles)

hmm what do you think the “predetermined” curve for 800 will be? :)

800 is probably up to -7 I’m guessing. I hope the curve is that generous haha

omg that curve would be amazing^^ :)

princeton review says -2 is 800 :[

-2 is brutal… gahhh… I need to reiterate that for emphasis. -2 is BRUTAL!! That’s as bad as Literature SAT II for Pete’s sake -_-

2 more days sdjaksjdkjasjd… You guys ready lol

eowaaepohidsio;lkn;klzlkz; oh man i’ve kinda lost hope at 800 please be >750

^lol don’t get too down on yourself. But I’ve been in that situation. Freshman year didn’t even know why I took WH without knowing what SAT Subject tests really were like besides reading a review book (and it was a pr, the worst for subject tests) lol. Only lukcily got out with a 750.

haha thanks for the encouragement but judging from past posts on this thread i’ve already gotten a few wrong :/

oh well the moment of truth is less than 12 hours away!

Do we get the scores at like 12.01 AM exactly?

I got 780/800 on Bio M. I’m happy with my score. I’m in Thailand guys, so the score was available around 5 P.M. here. Best of luck to others

Gah, only a 710 on Biology M. Would any of you guys recommend retaking it?
