January 2013 Biology E/M SAT Subject Test

Also, what does inverted DNA sequence mean?

From Wikipedia: “Cartilage is composed of specialized cells called chondroblasts that produce a large amount of extracellular matrix composed of collagen fibers, abundant …”

does the lack of alcohol metabolizer make bacteria more suscpetible to being killed by alcohol?
Also, what was the inversion of DNA in the beginning? Were 3 nucleotides reversed or just 2?

Oh… so it’s not the answer with the “connective tissue” one?
Do you know how many you can get wrong and still get 770+?

what is the answer to the insect control one, I put biodegradable pesticide but idk?

biological control is using other organisms - natural predators

what did you guys put for how kingdoms are classified?

yeah for biological control i also put using other organisms (natural predators).
For the classifying kingdoms, I put the cell structure/nutrients, but i’m not sure.

i think the answer to the insect question, I choose the one which was about using another insect to kill the harmful one.

there was a question that said if the producers had 10000 kcals, how much energy would the fourth level have. Anyone know the answer?

10 is the answer. I agree with candidcat about kingdoms

10kcals,
For ethanol inhibitor question, I put “fermentation”. What did you get?

Add to the list

What about the one about ethanol fermentation?

there’d better be a good curve…

does anybody remembers- was the answer to the dna inversion question D? Also do you guys think there will be a big curve on this one, more like Barrons or PR? Also I’m pretty sure the person with O positive couldn;t produce O negative not AB, but I could be wrong

I thought the dna inversion was TTA to ATT or something like that with 3 nucleotides. Anyone else agree?

@joppaa: O can’t make AB, it has two “i” alleles, neither A nor B

yeah i put the att one for inversion

Yes but if it mates with AB, can’t it produce AB, I really have no idea, I just though O negative was more logical, also how do you think the curve will be?
