January 2013 Biology E/M SAT Subject Test

Another answer I just remembered - multiple food chains in food web - ring a bell

Okay, did you put not an inheritable trait for the giraffes with shorter necks or whatever and im 100 % sure that it was intermediate ledge only for red ones

And rickyroma what were the other answer choices to that question? and was that in specifically the ecology section?

Another answer i remember, 1 and II for this question about plants? many different environmental factors determine height and something else

I took biology M. I remember the word inheritable in an answer but not the question. Did you take E?

Yeah, took E because I knew it had a better curve, and from the looks of this it was better I took E estimated at most 7 skipped, 10 missed, but not completely sure. more realistically 7 skipped 7 missed. Yeah, not an inheritable trait for the whole cutting plants to lower heights or something?

do you remember what the other question was about fetal/ mother

there was a question that said some owners make their dogs tail shorter but that none of their progeny have shorter tails. and they said why is that. I put that the owners werent making a inheritable change. is that right?

if you skipped 10 and got 7 wrong, what score would that get you?

The question specified the trait was y-linked and such linkage DOES exist. [Y linkage - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Y linkage - Wikipedia)

Starch can’t cross, BUT water can. Since bag has higher concentration of solute, water MOVES IN.

I’m sure 36 atoms are involved in the reaction, you can’t have 72 atoms at the same time.

@nyc guy i’d say 680-710. Also disguy, I understand now, lol.
also I put not inheritable too. Does anyone remember any other questions

Anyone remembers the question with "Neurulation " as an answer choice?

I do, I put cell to cell or something. i know i didnt put neurlation

Does anyone remember the other fetal/mature hemoglobin question, there were 2 or 3…

what is the question for nuerlation or cell to cell? is this for ecology or molecular?

it was on the general 60, and i dont remember exactly, nyc did you do ecology?

i did molecular.

I also put that the fetus bound more O2 at lower pressures. I put 72 atoms… I thought they meant the entire reaction and not just reactants. (Maybe I multiplied a coefficient twice or something.)

No, the solute molarity was equal on both sides of the bag, 5% glucose, the solution was isotonic, the bag remained the same.

And for the solanin one, I think I put something about how the ones with the bad taste were able to reproduce and pass on that trait. And the one with the potatoes turning green was something about chlorophyll… But now that I think about it I don’t think the taproot part has chloroplasts

Was the equation photosynthesis or cell respiration? I think it was photosynthesis… If so:
6CO2 (18) + 6H2O (18) + Energy → C6H12O6 (24) + 6O2 (12). 18+18+24+12= 72 atoms.
