January 2013 SAT Discusion

So, those of you done with the SAT, let's discuss!

In case there are multiple versions of the test: Reading, seahorse, Cold War, houses; Math, 2 grid in sections (5 train cars and 5 children)

I had that Reading section but I only had one section of Math grid-ins…

Anyway, when do scores come out? I’m already nervous!

Not quite sure when the scores come out. Could you describe your math grid in section? I’m trying to determine which section was experimental.

Feb 15. and i put 120 as well.

I put 120 as well. 5x4x3x2x1. Don’t see any other way of solving this problem. What did you answer for #17 I believe where it gave you 2 triangles in a grid and wanted the value of t/s?

i put 2. no idea what i did.

UGH I’m so stupid, I got 120 and then changed it to 25 -_-
& I put 2 too

I had no clue for that one. I tried solving it with alegebra and that didn’t seem to work.

I put in 1/2. I probably interchanged the values of S and T.

I had two for the s/t one as well. What does mollify mean? I had no clue and it came up like three times on my Reading sections… I never used it either haha

I got 125 and 2 also. I think I had a reading experimental, there were 4 of those. The CR was so hard OMG. I didn’t have houses though, I had the other too I think

there are numerous words on SC i did not recognize. i studied boat of vocab for nothing…

Mollify means to appease

Also guys get 5 for one of the grid-ins?

And what was this one:

8, 3, 12, x, y

The range of these numbers is 9 and the mean is 7. What is x?
A) 1
B) 2
C) 4
D) 5
E) 6

I couldn’t figure out whether it was four or five…

experimental.

^ I didn’t get that question.

Thank goodness! Hopefully it didn’t count because I could not understand it!

What about the one with the math and academic clubs? You had to figure out how many were in both clubs.

i put 4. and the last one 10^7 and 10^8

I didn’t know that one either. I guessed 1 when I had no time left but I just figured out the answer was 4.

The answer was 4 for the club one, and I also got 10^7<x<10^8
