November 2013 U.S. SAT Discussion

What did you guys think?

I thought math wasn't too bad, reading was abnormally hard, and I'm not sure about writing. My essay was horrible and I had writing experimental.

I had the writing experimental too. I messed up on one of them, hope that’s the one that was experimental. Yeah, math was easier than I thought it would be. That means harsh curve.

I also did horribly on one writing section so I’m hoping it was experimental.

Were your two writing sections back to back? Like sections 5 and 6 maybe?

Yeah, it was back to the back. I did bad on section 5 and when I saw section 6 HALLELUJAH. Which one do you think was experimental?

Ugh I did well on the first one and badly on the second! I honestly have no idea which one was experimental, but I hope it was the second!!

I hope it was the first (:

Did your first one have an improving paragraphs about food and did the second have one about Neolithic period?

I had a writing experimental, and the essay sections at the back of writing sections were

  1. About voting prediction
  2. About George Washington.
    Do you know with one of these two is an experimental.

I think it was about food. I know the second one was about a dad wanting to do things hard way.

I had the same as labella

@SnowSAT - Which one do you think was the experimental?

I don’t remember anything about a dad wanting to do things the hard way. Was that one of the questions or was it an improving paragraphs part?

Prompt - Happiness and materialistic possessions
Math - Vocab scores of people who read and didn’t, something about 22,000 emails
CR - star wars, memorial day parade, louis armstrong

I felt the questions dealing with the dad doing things the hard way were very difficult, but the rest of that section was very easy. The other writing section (can’t remember what the passage at the end was), was moderately difficult throughout. Anyone else feel the same? I really can’t tell which one was experimental

Does anyone know which math section was experimental?

@tosignifie, George Washington was experimnetal

I had math experimental and one of the sections was the hardest math section you would ever see on an SAT, i literally blindly guessed on 50% of the problems. I was just hoping that it wsa experimental, can anyone confirm if it was?

i remember questions 7-10 being based on a chart about the age of trees with growth factors and other crap. it had 20 questions, and no grid ins.

if you didn’t have math experimental can you please tell me if you had this section or not?

@hojoo235 - I didn’t have those questions.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! you just made my day labella!

@hojoo235 - Can you tell me which writing section you had? I’m trying to figure out which one was experimental.

the improving paragraphs was about election voting polls. i remember it mentioning Barrack Obamma in one of the sentences.
