The Jan Mini-Term ... Anyone know about this? Are most students there for this? Does it require additonal payment of tuition or is it like some, simply billed as part of fall and spring semesters?

I note that a local Blue Hen is still home. Got me wondering.

P.S. My bad. I posted this on another thread, thinking I was starting a new one. Sorry.

Winter session is a valid term. You can take up to 6 credits (2 classes) during this 4-5 week period. Winter study abroad is also very popular during winter session - gives them the opportunity to study abroad without "giving up" a semester on campus. For winter study, you also take 6 credits. If you go on Delaware's website, go to the "A-Z" link at top, to Study Abroad. If you look under any Winter session, you'll see the variety of programs offered. For studnets who don't study abroad or take classes, 7 weeks is a very long time to be home. And yes - you do pay tuition. If you stay on campus, you don't pay any extra housing fee, but you do pay tuition and board.

Not a lot of people do winter session...there definitely are people there, but my friends who are there now say that it is basically dead. it is a good study abroad opportunity though or if you have a hard class that you want to focus on instead of taking it with 4 other classes. u basically take one or two classes and ahve those classes every day during winter session.
