will colleges care if i DON’T get an 800 though? i don’t want to seem like an idiot who can’t speak his own language even though chinese is difficult.

What statistics in particular are you wondering about? GPA and class rank? Additional tests? I have a 4.26/4.33 unweighted (A - 4.0, A+ - 4.33) - basically a 4.0 equivalent. I am tied for the top ranking in unweighted GPA and first in weighted GPA of a class of approximately 520 at my high school. But I am ranked within the junior class since I am technically a third-year senior. In addition, I have also taken two other Subject Tests (Chemistry and US History) and received an 800 on both.

mifune -
–gulps–
v. v. impressive!!!

Oh, thanks.

what did you guys do to prep for bio M? Also, what should I use to prep for math I?

Sparknotes.

mifune,

With all those 800’s that Sparknotes got you, it sounds like it was worth every penny. :)

770 US history
780 math I
790 French

not applying to any Ivies =/

Yes, and it’s especially useful for getting my literature reading completed when I end up spending too much time on this website. :)

Math II - 750
Literature - 690
Chemistry - 780

please please tell me this is okay enough for brown, georgetown, and boston college!

^Those are favorable scores. I do not know the individual SAT II evaluation policies of those universities, but many only evaluate the first two to determine some form of an “Eligibility Index.”

790 French? :o
That’s unbelievable!

750+ puts you in the 2nd year, 2nd semester French at most tops unis, so it’s not all bad xD

Oh, well that makes your score even more impressive. If I had any remaining opportunities, I would attempt a couple language tests although I have only had formal instruction in Spanish.

actually, sci-fry. If you took all those tests on the same day, you cannot choose which one to send. They all go together, which means that they all have to be submitted to colleges.

No, one can choose specific tests to send – even those from the same test date.

^Really silverturtle? I was under the impression that you had to choose by date.

From the College Board:

Don’t worry lol, I’m sure at least half of that 17% is Canadian students, and possibly a few overseas European/Caribbean students. Not many Americans can get an 800 on this, one of the most difficult imo, SAT IIs.

I doubt that. There aren’t many Canadians who take the SAT, and in Canada there is only Quebec that is full of french-speakers. The other provinces teach French the same way as the US - as a second language option like Spanish, Latin, German, etc. I’d be surprised if they told me that nearly half the students who take the French SAT are Canadian. I think that they’re merely lucky, or that their French classes are created around the French SAT.
